1. What should I do to improve my test/quiz grades?
Pre-read the textbook before we start a new topic
Look over your classwork each night for 5-10 minutes. Come to class with questions the next day.
Watch the YouTube videos I post online for a review after we cover a topic.
When you are studying for a test, re-answer the questions from class. Do not just re read your notes.
Try the practice quizzes I post under the enrichment section for each topic.
2. Can I submit my homework late?
No, it is the EB Biology policy to not accept any late homework. If you do not have your homework the day it is due you will receive a 0%.
3. I was absent and missed a quiz/test, when can I make it up?
Depending on the class activity you may be able to take the quiz/test during class. If this is not possible, you will be asked to come in before or after school to make up the missed work. You have 1 week to make up the quiz/test or it will turn into a 0%.
No, it is the EB policy to not offer any extra credit to students. If you are concerned about your grade see Ms. Soldo and we will discuss what will help improve your understanding of the topics. See question 1 for ideas on how to improve your test/quiz grades.
5. What if I need extra help?
I'm available before and after school for extra help by appointment. Please let me know when you would like to come in for extra help by email or in class.
6. Can I hand in work late?
Homework will not be accepted for late credit.
All classwork, labs, and projects will receive a 10% deduction (letter grade) for each day late.
All late work should be placed in the dropbox in the classroom. It is your responsibility to make sure that late assignments are handed in.
